Matt Six:Ten
The Shadow & The Substance

Scripture Speaks

The Old Testament casts the shadow. The New Testament reveals what cast it. Not all connections carry the same weight. Some are explicit - the New Testament quotes the Old and says "this was fulfilled." Others are typological - the NT identifies a pattern without claiming direct prediction. Still others are thematic echoes that readers have observed across centuries. This page presents all three, and labels each so you can weigh the evidence yourself.
